Mike Chiappetta is a dynamic communicator with over 10 years in the publishing, editorial and communications fields. He doesn't usually refer to himself in the third-person, and will stop right now.

Throughout my career, I have always done my best to provide two things: excellence and versatility. To that end, I've covered sports at every level, and for both local and national publications. I've written and edited advertising copy for companies as diverse and successful as Conair (best known for their beauty products) and WWE (pro wrestling). And I'm also a published novelist (but trust me, save your money).
In 2006, I was partially responsible for kickstarting the mainstream media's coverage of mixed martial arts in the U.S. At NBCSports.com, I launched the first section devoted to the sport on a major media site. There, I also helped start the first weekly show to cover the sport, the online exclusive MMA Fight Weekly. I've also written for newspapers and magazines and have been invited on both radio and TV shows to discuss the MMA phenomenon.
I'm not tooting my own horn, but it's doubtful any MMA writer in the world has written about the sport for more major media content providers than me. I've written for ESPN, NBC Sports/MSNBC, FanHouse, FIGHT! Magazine, UFC Magazine and many more.

Feedback on Chiappetta:
BloodyElbow.com: When it comes to Mixed Martial Arts Journalists, Mike Chiappetta is greater than all -- Finally, someone in the [mainstream media] gets it. Finally, finally, finally. His name is Mike Chiappetta and he writes for NBCSports.com. (6/5/08)
CagePotato.com: Chiappetta on MMA Live -- Hey, look who's on MMA Live. Why, it's Mike Chiappetta, who you might remember from those NBCSports.com segments on MMA before NBC threw up their hands and gave up on the sport altogether. Now he's writing for ESPN.com and filling in for Franklin McNeil alongside Kenny Florian. Looks like NBC's loss is ESPN's gain. (3/26/09)
Yahoo.com: Chiappetta "one good reporter..." -- (3/11/09)
